The BCS has been criticized by many fans of college football. The argument is that with the current system, the two best teams do not always play each other for the title. That argument could hold up this year after Georgia, West Virginia, and Kansas rolled their bowl opponents.

Tonight, the BCS version of the national championship will take place. The #1 team in the rankings, Ohio State, will take on the #2 team, LSU. The irony of the game is that sports books in Las Vegas have the lower team as the favorite.

Ohio State should be used to the lack of respect. They have gone the whole season with critics claiming they have not warranted their high ranking. They have responded by winning all but one of their games, and once again finding their way to the title game.

LSU, on the other hand, has been the darling of all the analysts. They have continued to play sloppy football, and have barely survived several opponents. That is all in addition to the two losses they have.

In defense of the Tigers, they have not been fully healthy since the beginning of the season, when they were destroying their opponents. Tonight, though, another upset will suggest that they were not as talented as everyone wants to believe.

Sports books and the betting public appear sold on LSU. The Tigers are favored by three and a half points in the game. The game will be played in Louisiana, which should favor LSU. Game time is 8:00, and it will be shown on FOX.
